Sometimes, life can start to feel very mundane. Get up. Get dressed. Check social media. Go to school (or University, or work). Come home. Watch T.V. Go to bed.
We can get stuck in a rut of ‘rinse and repeat’ doing the same routine week in, week out. We can end up in a place when our alarm goes off and we feel flat at the thought of a new day. Life sometimes doesn’t seem exciting. In fact, life can end up feeling a little bit boring.
Life as a teen girl can seem very same old. Lots of education, homework, chores, time with family and friends and figuring out what to do with your life. I definitely felt like that sometimes, especially when it seemed like those around me had a schedule of adventures and exciting events when I was just doing ‘normal’ things day in day out.
This way of thinking can lead us to comparison, and in to thinking that God is waiting to use us until we can do something ‘big’. We can end up ‘stuck in a rut’ in our relationship with God, simply because we think we aren’t doing anything important enough for Him to use us.
Thinking like this is believing the lie that your ‘normal life’ is something to be endured until you can actually start serving God properly. Each season of your life is an opportunity to know God more, serve Him, honour Him and Glorify Him!
So, TAKE A HOLD of the season you are in right now.
Choose today that you are going to do something different, and instead of being caught up in the routine of ‘normal’ life you are going to celebrate every day and every opportunity with a grateful heart.
Determine each morning that you will cherish each day as an opportunity to equip yourself to know God and serve God more.
I love what Psalm 16:11 says:
“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”
Declare every morning that God will grant you the joy of His presence every day, no matter what season you are in!

Thank you. Recently, I’ve just been waiting for school to finish next year so that I can join my church’s Church plant. Now I know that God always has a plan for me, wherever I am.
Love this simple but true !!
