Fave Christian Songs

written by Nancy September 26, 2019
Fave Christian Songs

If you’re looking for some Christian music inspiration, look no further! One of our wonderful writers, Nancy, has put together some of her faves, and included them in a Spotify playlist for you at the end of this post.

Somedays, there’s nothing you want to do more than just kick off your shoes, pop some headphones on and listen to some really good music. But with so much choice, sometimes it can feel like a chore to choose music as it takes so long to find your jam. However, I have (hopefully somewhat successfully!) created a playlist of some my favourite Christian songs to make it a little easier to find some music you love. There are songs from everywhere: some gospel, some pop and of course some ‘Sister Act’! So sit back… relax… and enjoy listening to a little bit of everything!

Please leave a comment down below letting me know your favourite songs 🙂

My Lighthouse – by Rend Collective

I love this song SO much! It’s uplifting and reminds us that God is always on our side looking out for us, no matter what is happening in life.

10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) – by Matt Redman

This is a calmer, more reflective song compared to the others on this list, but it has real feeling and happiness to it.

This is Amazing Grace – by Phil Wickham

Wow… what an amazing song. Honestly, it’s impossible not to fall in love with it!

Good Good Father – by Chris Tomlin

Like “My Lighthouse”, it reminds us just how much God cares for us, no matter what we’re facing. A brilliant song, with an even better message.

Lion and the Lamb (Live) – by Bethel Music

Such a classic song… amazing vocals and complete with a brilliant beat!

Great is He Who’s the King of Kings – by The Stoneleigh Worship Band

This is such an uplifting song, and brilliant for whatever mood you’re in. Plus, it’s reeaally difficult NOT to dance or sing along, it’s so catchy!

Glorious – by Martha Munizzi

Probably one you mightn’t have heard of, but like the last one it’s impossible not to dance to. It’s got such an uplifting feel, and it’s guaranteed to get you smiling.

Hail Holy Queen (in the style of Sister Act) – by Musical Creations Studio Musicians (karaoke version)

A little gem… whenever this pops up on the playlist it spreads joy.

Choral Music

I love choral music so much… it’s so beautiful and perfect for every occasion. If you are not really a fan of choral music, definitely have a listen, you might just like these songs!

The Lord Bless You and Keep You – by John Rutter

There are honestly no words to describe how amazing this song is. Every time I listen to it, I feel like weeping for joy!

Ubi Caritas – by Ola Gjello (The Music of King’s)

Yes… it is all in Latin, although I can assure you that it is a great listen.

A Gaelic Blessing – by John Rutter

Yet again this is such a lovely one; Rutter writes the best choral pieces. If you like his music, definitely go and have a listen to pieces written by Sally Deford. Her compositions are SO pretty and there are SO many of them, you’re sure to find something you love.

If you would like to have a listen, here is the playlist!

Some Christian pop artists that I love are Lauren Daigle, For King and Country and Hollyn. I particularly recommend the first two’s latest albums and Hollyns album ‘One way conversations’
