Am I Too Young To Be Noticed?

written by Daniella March 5, 2017
Am I Too Young To Be Noticed?

Have you ever let your age stop you from doing something? Whether it is starting up a your own blog, YouTube channel , starting up a charity with a few friends or even speaking out about something you are passionate about.

Sometimes it can be a bit intimidating when you watch the news and most of the world’s leaders are double your age and you may think you need to be older to be heard or noticed. But don’t let your age stop you from doing what you love, especially if it’s what you believe you are called to do.

If you look at the many young people God used in the bible ,you will soon know that age wasn’t and still isn’t a concern for God but rather your availability.

Jesus at 12 years old was found among teachers, asking and answering questions. Everyone around him was surprised by his knowledge and understanding (Luke 2:41-52).

David was another young person that shocked people. I researched a bit about David’s story and did you know he was roughly about 15 years old when he fought Goliath. But imagine if David let the fact that he was so young get to him! We know David didn’t do it by himself, God helped him, but the key thing is that David made himself available to be used by God.

I love this scripture in the bible which says:

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young , but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love , in faith and in purity”Β – 1 Timothy 4:12

In this scripture Paul was giving Timothy some advice. Paul was Timothy’s mentor and he was significantly older than Timothy. He tells Timothy to lead by example, and I believe the best way to get noticed or heard is to lead by example whether it’s at home, school , work or just in your community.

Most people that changed the world positively started of by just leading by example! After all, actions speak louder than words.
