Sometimes you can simply get stuck in a rut. Either with school (especially nearing the end of another year!), exams, friends or just life! It doesn’t have to be a negative though and finding positivity can change your entire outlook.
When you take the time to find new creative sources, different things that excite you and make you smile, you can begin to feel much happier and refreshed!
When we think about finding new inspiration we often think of a luxurious holiday or backpacking across mountains to ‘find ourselves’… Although these might be great, they are not needed to find your spark!
Here are some ideas that anyone can try out to help bring back inspiration.
At Home
It might be that you need some creative inspiration to get you re-energised so start by looking in your own home. What about some re-organising or de-cluttering? You might find something that you used to love and it could restart an old passion of yours or something that you always wanted to try!
Outdoors
You might want to go on a walk in your local area and explore somewhere that you usually just drive past, but you have never taken the time to delve in to properly. Sometimes nature and your local surroundings can be just as breath-taking as fancy locations abroad, you just have to open your mind to them! These small things are so simple yet can have a massive impact in immediately helping you feel brighter and excited about the future.
Try Something New
You might want to start a new hobby whether it is scrapbooking, baking or running. Finding a new passion is a brilliant way to gain some fresh energy!
Friendship
Even something simple like writing a letter to a distant family member, messaging an old friend or talking to someone new at church can bring so much in to your life, so take time to nurture friendships!
The Bible
Last but not least, the best place to seek inspiration or support is the Bible, one verse I am reminded of is “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” – Joshua 1: 9-10. There are lots of encouraging verses in the Bible and exploring it at your own pace is the perfect way to help you feel re-energised and at peace.
All these different things and many more of your own ways can help you find creativity and bring happiness into your life, so why not give them a try and let us know how you got on!
