Stay Glowed

Stay Glowed

It’s okay to be confident

It’s okay to feel fabulous about yourself.

It’s okay to treat yourself once in awhile.

As young women we have so much pressure from every angle, and it seems like it’s getting harder and harder. So I say it’s great to celebrate yourself with the things you’ve achieved, whether it be challenging yourself to learn how to ride a bike at age 14 (me lol) or finally passing that test you’ve re-taken a thousand times. Celebrate you, and don’t feel guilty for it.

Sometimes I feel guilty for feeling so saucy about myself. I walk past my reflection in shop windows and I’m like, ‘girl, I ain’t mad at you’. I feel myself blooming creatively, spiritually, mentally and in every other way, it’s been a long time coming.

Why on earth should I (we) feel guilty for this?

Isn’t this what God Himself wants for His daughters?

Isn’t this what we all strive for? Pure and utter joy with ourselves in God?

So when you finally arrive at that place don’t you dare feel guilty, nobody knows your story like you and God do. You deserve every wonderful and beautiful thing.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows… And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. – James 1:17-18
