Kingdom Year

written by Naomi June 28, 2016
Kingdom Year

Exam season is almost over…

Let that sink in.

The finish line is drawing ever closer and summer has never looked so good!

Alongside those long summer nights, BBQ’s with friends and road trips to wherever the closest beach is, there can be that tiny whisper of ‘what next?’ can’t there?

If university isn’t right, right now, what is?

Well, it’s no secret that our generation has a voice that wants to make a difference. In fact, one of the things most commonly said about ‘millennials’ is that we want to have an impact on the world in which we live.

With so many options from so many different places, it can be difficult to know where exactly to make our mark. The world is changing – politics and education tell us that, and that’s just the start! What’s comforting in light of all this though, is that God NEVER changes. With this in mind, doesn’t it make sense that we make our mark on this earth for Him?

With God as our firm foundation, when things get a bit crazy out there, we can just run back to Him and ask ‘what next?’

Imagine being in a place which will not only help you do just that, but will also help you to recognise exactly where those amazing skills, gifts and talents of yours truly lie, so that you can boldly use them to change the world!

Kingdom Year is a part-time intern programme based in West London. Its aims are to teach and train young Christians in what it means to be an effective disciple of Christ living in the 21st century through training in personal discipleship, Christian leadership and making disciples.

As well as that training, the Kingdom Year team will work alongside you to help you discover and use your gifts and talents so that you can go on to serve not only your church, but your community.

Wherever this journey of life takes you, on Kingdom Year, we want to equip you with Christian truth as your foundation for this world, which is truly your oyster. We want to encourage, support and motivate you to use your gifts, talents and strengths for good and for God’s glory.

So… Are you ready to let your light shine?
