4 Things To Do When Exams Are Finally Over

written by Esther Egbeyemi June 14, 2016
4 Things To Do When Exams Are Finally Over

Woohoo! Freedom! Your exams are over and you’re ready to shove your revision notes in the deep dark pits of your closet drawer, never to be seen again. But then you find yourself asking, what now?!

Think about it, endless hours of your life have been consumed by filling your head with crazy amounts of knowledge, answering a shed load of essay questions and listening to hardcore classical music to help you get in the zone. Now what are you to do with your new found liberty I hear you cry? Don’t worry, help is at hand.

Check out these ideas for what you can get up to once you’ve successfully made it through this study season.

  1. Chillax To The Max

Chilling out after exams are over can often seem extremely difficult because you’ve had to remain consistently productive for so long. However, this time is super important because it gives you an opportunity to rest, come away from your revision routine and to have some much needed time for yourself.

Be sure to do things that you enjoy, whether you’re eager to catch up on your favourite Netflix series, finish that book that you’ve desperately wanted to find out the ending to, or just get in some good old sleep.

  1. Throw a post-exam barbecue

Now we all know that celebrating the end of exams wouldn’t be complete without food! Why not whip up a few barbecued treats with some friends and family? It’s the perfect way to enjoy the summer sun and munch on delicious food with people you care about. Cook up a storm and get to feasting!

  1. Visit a part of the country that you’ve never been to before

The UK has some breathtakingly beautiful places, but many of us tend not to really go beyond where we know. Holla at a few mates and buy train tickets to visit somewhere new, or even make it a road trip (if you can drive!) and explore a number of places.

It’s definitely cheaper than a holiday abroad and you might just end up stumbling upon some amazing hidden gems!

      4. Get Fit

Getting in shape is hands down the one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions; however, it’s often just a week or two before we find ourselves wavering and reaching for the tub of Ben and Jerry’s!

Instead of making fitness a goal at the start of the year, why not make it a post-exam one? It’s the perfect time to focus on obtaining both a healthy body and mind. Grab a friend and take up a new sport, try out your local gym, or if you’re feeling really brave, sign up for a MARATHON!
