Crafty and Creative Fashion Ideas

Crafty and Creative Fashion Ideas

I love being arty and creative, so how I accessorise an outfit is often influenced more by what I’ve got in my craft draw than what I have in my wardrobe!  I also love recycling and giving old accessorises a new look.  Here are some ideas for adding imaginative personal touches to your look:

Use a pair of clip-on earrings to add glamour or fun to your shoes. Jewels clipped onto the strap of your stilettos or a bow added the front of your dolly shoes makes for a happy step

Use nail varnish to re-vamp cheap old jewellery. This was fun in the 90s when I painted my silver hoop earrings with pink and purple stripes, but still useful now when a coat of silver nail varnish on tarnished old ring makes it look as good as new!nailvarnish

If you’ve lost one of a pair of your favourite dangly earrings, don’t chuck away the other one! Bend the hook with pliers and use it as a pendant on a necklace or a charm on a bracelet.

String a few iridescent beads onto craft wire, wind it round one side of a hair grip and secure the ends. Adds a sparkle to your hair do!hairgrip

Replace the strap of your clutch bag with a beaded necklace that matches your outfit. Attach securely with a needle and thread.beaded
