Six Bible Verses For Moments of Anxiety

written by Emma November 8, 2015
Six Bible Verses For Moments of Anxiety

In times of worry it’s easy for us to dwell on our own ever-changing feelings and emotions but it’s important that we learn to run to God and His word for our help, and focus on the unchanging truth of the Bible!

Psalm 56:3

3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

Proverbs 12:25

25 An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.

Psalm 55:22

22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 41:10

10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Try and memorise one or two of these verse, write them out on a postcard and stick it on your wall, or simply read them every morning! Let us know how you get on.
