Do You Doodle?

written by Lauren January 8, 2019
Do You Doodle?

Do you follow any of those beautiful lettering or bible journalling accounts on Instagram? Some of the drawings and lines look so simple, but they create such an impactful end result when put together.

A great place to start is working on your doodles!

If drawing scares you, doodling words is a good starting point. Writing out verses or inspirational quotes can not only give you something to do but also will help you think about them in a new way.

As you’re drawing  you might find you think of someone else who the words would bless as you create it.

Looking on places like the Girl Got Faith Instagram can give you inspiration for what to write.

Maybe you like the idea of having a go at drawing but nothing ever comes out looking how it does in your head (my constant problem). Try looking at line drawings or tattoo images as they always have a simpler style and are a bit easier to draw.

I’ve found doodling to be a brilliant way to connect with those around me. Create something and give it to someone and see how happy it makes them.

And of course if you don’t find anyone to give it to, drawing for God is a brilliant way to connect with the Father. I like to think that he has some of my creations proudly stuck on his heavenly fridge! After all he is the ultimate creator and “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10
