Beloved

written by Kate June 17, 2018
Beloved

Father’s Day is a great day to celebrate all the amazing dads out there, but for some people it can also be a reminder of the father they never knew. Or maybe it brings back memories of someone who is no longer with us. But regardless of the situations and circumstances regarding your earthly father, you have a heavenly one too. Yes, you do! A father who loves you so much, he paid the highest price possible in order for you to be able to spend forever with him. A dad who wants the very best for you and carefully considered every teeny tiny detail about you, to make you exactly the way you are. Maybe it sounds like a cliché or even just ridiculous, but honestly it’s true! Here’s a few things you need to know…

First and foremost, you are loved UNCONDITIONALLY.
There isn’t a single thing you can do in your entire lifetime that would ever make God stop loving you. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. – Romans 5:8

He has a plan and purpose for your life.
He has created you with unique skills and gifts that equip you for all of the amazing things he wants you to do with your life. For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

You are precious and have so much worth.
You have been made by God on purpose. You were not, are not, and never will be a mistake. God created you because he wanted you. It doesn’t matter what circumstances surround your life, it doesn’t matter what people might tell you, it doesn’t matter what choices you may have made. You are a child of God, and you hold this status because of who your father is. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. – Ephesians 2:10

He will guide you and protect you.
He knows this life can be hard and He knows the challenges you will face, which is why He gave us the bible as the living word of God. It’s our daily bread to build us up and strengthen us. He wants to be involved in every single part of your life and just wants you to always come to him with your questions so that He can give you the answers you need and lead you through your journey. We can make our plans but the Lord determines our steps. – Proverbs 16:9

He will never abandon you.
God wants to be in relationship with you, He wants to have a father and child connection with you, which means He is going to stand by you. He is going to take care of you because he is good and just. He doesn’t lie to or give up on His children. If he was going to give up on you then there would never have been any point in sending Jesus to the cross. I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. – Isaiah 49:16

He’s always got your back.
God doesn’t want you to feel alone or afraid, and He doesn’t want you to fail. When you’re going through difficulties and struggles He is right there with you, ready to listen and comfort you. He’ll be your strength when you feel weak. He’s the safety net when you feel like you’re falling and He isn’t ever going to let you go. Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you. – Deuteronomy 31:6

So whatever happens, remember that you are a BELOVED child of God. That means you are precious, dear, treasured, wanted and loved. So unbelievably loved. And if you ever doubt it, just open the bible and remember what your heavenly father says about you!
