Is it just me or has the temperature in England just suddenly dropped dramatically?! It has been freeeezing!!
So cold that sometimes you just want to stay wrapped up in the warmth of your home. Sometimes it can be a hard adjustment after the summer months, but I’ve put together a few ideas for you to enjoy those cosy indoor days!
1. Movie marathon
Why not invite some of your girlfriends over, grab some popcorn and ice cream, get the blankets out and settle down in front of the TV for a movie marathon. You could even pick a Christmas movie to get you in the festive spirit. I recently watched Elf for the first time ever and loved it! If you haven’t seen it, I definitely recommend you put this on your movie list!
2. Baking
One of the best things about this time of year is all of the yummy food! Baking your own delicious treats is a great way to spend an afternoon, filling your house with the smells of Christmas and enjoying a little indulgence. You could go for a classic cupcake with some festive decoration to liven them up!
3. Games night
I don’t know about you but my family loves board games at Christmas. Sometimes with the amount of technology/apps/social media we have at our fingertips we forget about some of the classic ways to have fun, like scrabble or monopoly. Plan a games night with friends and have some good old fashioned competitive fun one evening! May the best woman win!
4. Get wrapping
A cold day outside is the perfect excuse to stay indoors, light the fire and get ready for Christmas. Why not spend an afternoon getting creative with your wrapping and make the presents under the tree look extra special for your loved ones. Pinterest is full of great ideas to add some festive bling to your parcels!
5. Pyjama party
There is nothing better than a girly sleepover. Take over your front room with duvets and chocolate and enjoy an all-night-long get together. Add some hot chocolate, pampering and onesies to make it the ultimate experience! What better way to appreciate the company of your favourite people?
