You Know You’re Best Friends When…

You Know You’re Best Friends When…

Here are ten things that pretty much all besties will relate to…

(Thanks to my own besties who helped me compile this list!)

THE LOOK

Whether it’s an inside joke or your favourite worship song comes on, you just know you gotta give your best friend the look that says “Hey, I acknowledge that this is our thing.”

YOU KNOW THEIR ORDER

If your friend asks you to get them something to eat/drink whilst you’re out, you know exactly what to get without them saying a word.

SHARING EVERYTHING

Nothing is held back in your conversations, it gives you trust that you can be vulnerable with someone, not be judged and get some real prayer or advice.

CONSTANT SOCIAL MEDIA CHATS

Your snapchats, iMessages, Insta sharing and meme sending is constant. There’s no point in deleting your chat because you know in a couple of hours time, they’re going to respond to you!

THEY’VE GOT YOUR BACK

Through thick and thin, your best friends have got you covered. They’re your greatest cheerleaders and they’ll send the pick-me up messages during the week. They’re the modern-day version of Aaron & Hur (Exodus 17).

THEY KNOW WHEN SOMETHING’S UP

“Hey, how you doing today?” “Oh hey, I’m doing alright and you?” *You say whilst trying to keep a happy face when you want to cry and tell them about what’s troubling you* But you don’t have to because they’ve already picked up that you’re not okay and are asking what’s up. They’ve known you long enough to detect your emotions and are willing to go there to find out what’s wrong.

THEY’RE CONNECTED TO YOUR WIFI

As soon as they step in your house, they’re already connected.

MI CASA SU CASA

They make themselves comfortable in your house without you even uttering the phrase. Kettle and TV is on, feet are up.

NO AMOUNT OF WEIRD IS TOO WEIRD

If you look back on your chats or someone overhears you talking with your best friend, they may be a little freaked out! But you know it’s all banter and it goes to show how you feel so comfortable around these people to be crazy.

YOUR STUFF IS THEIR STUFF

“Hey, can I borrow this top for next weekend?” “Sure”….Fast forward a few months and they haven’t returned it, but it’s okay because you know you can go and get it back anytime or just do exactly the same with their stuff.
